Choose a new date for scanned photos within Photos

I have hundreds of scanned old family photos that keep getting mixed in with current photos in my MPB Photos app. I would like to change the date info on them (preferably in batches) to something that predates all my other photos, so they are easy to locate.

Right now Photos keeps throwing them into the date of scanned or the current upload date.

I would appreciate any advice on how to accomplish this. Thank you!
