Hi All,

New keyboard time.

Found this good you tube video. Thought provoking on what to look for, and I do like some of his turns of phrase :D

Not sure would go for any of the ones covered though.

Hope the above helps others

Cheers
Martin

It entirely comes down to your needs.

I run a small company and purchased two M1 Mac minis for more administrative work, sales. We don't need fancy monitors, mice or keyboards, so in this instance you can save an awful lot of of money.

After salvaging a couple of old iMac G4 keyboards, we moved to a Cherry KC 6000 and Mobility Lab keyboards - both wired (more convenient in all honesty), very good key action and very good value at under £35 each.

But there are some great keyboards out right now - almost too many to choose!

I tried so many keyboards. I have in storage many from so many years. My preference is the latest Apple keyboards for general purposes because the travel is the right amount and it doesn’t make any clacky noises when I’m editing in Premiere, etc

I have a couple of 1993 Apple ADB keyboards but I hear that they no longer work even with an adapter.

While I dislike how much space it occupies, I have a Logitech mechanical Pro X keyboard with Cherry Blue switches on my PC and love typing on it.

Currently using Keychron K3 w/ red optical switches. Note if you buy this keyboard and get the optical switches, you mind as well get another set of switches as shipping can get pricey.

Also note there are no alternative keycaps atm; unless you count the extra replacement set on their website.

Keyboards are a lot about personal preference. In the last 3 years, I have tried the Code, Cooler Master MX730, and DasKeyboard Model S pro and 4 Pro. Currently, the Code Tenkeyless is my choice. I use MX Brown switches whenever possible. Also, I don't have any need for a dedicated ten-keypad and prefer the resultant smaller size.
