I'm in the interest to get a job at an Apple retail store and am having trouble deciding which to apply for. I'm incredibly familiar with all of Apple's products and have in depth knowledge of pretty much anything Apple has made within the last 6 years. I like to repair others Macs as most of my friends that work on PCs have no clue what to do with them. I'm not a certified Mac technician, and the Mac genius position says that it is preferred. I don't mind if I have to start as some other position and wait until I get my Mac technician certification before I apply for the Mac genius position.

However, this leaves me with a few other somewhat ambiguous job titles. I'd say these are the ones that I'm left with:
Concierge,
Mac Specialist,
Personal Shopping Specialist,
Business Consultant,
Inventory Control Specialist,
Cashier

I'm a people person and have worked in retail before. I really enjoy talking to people and generally being nice (even to *******s), however, I'm lost as to which position to apply to. Also, for anyone who works at an Apple store, let's say I apply and get the job of a Inventory Control Specialist but find that it's boring as hell, how easy is it to move around within a retail store.

So basically what I'm wondering is what would be the best position for a 21 year old part time student who enjoys working 40 hours a week, enjoys people, has an extensive knowledge of Apple products and wants to be paid competitively for the skills he possesses. Just think, the future is now in your HANDS! :) Pick me a good job! haha
Thanks

Yeah the problem is that I'm coming from a very good paying job (too well maybe even, I got spoiled) at a school district in charge of their web programs. Does anyone know some general figures for Apple store positions (I mean, do they pay minimum wage to cashiers or whatever is the lowest position?).

I'd imagine you will get normal retail rates. Minimum to maybe 10 an hour.
