Hi Everyone!

I have never purchased an apple computer (always had pc desktop computers) and would like some imput from the members. I am choosing between the basic 21.5 inch model and the basic 27 inch model. I have vision problems and thought that the 27 inch model would provide me with a clearer, sharper image as well as making it easier to read newspaper articles, etc, for example.

I know little to nothing about apple imac computers and would appreciate any feedback/advice from the members! Thanks. :)

The 27 inch has 109dpi pixel density, and 21.5 inch has 102-- so technically the 27 inch screen will have sharper text by a small margin, but the tradeoff is smaller text in general. You can abuse the command-scroll on osx however, if you need to zoom in to anything to read it easier. It's on the fly, and provides a way better interpolation algorithm than windows' zoom feature.

If you've got the money, definitely go for the 27", no reason not to really.
