Choosing Macbook CD or C2D

if You were given the choice to buy a Mac Book,

which one will you get ?



-macbook 1.83 Ghz Core 2 Duo (latest proccesor but no DVD RW )



or



-macbook 2.00 Ghz Core Duo (old Proccesor but have DVD RW)



both are brand new and on the same price



well,

i was offered that 2 but still can;t decide which one to geet,

so i need references

personally I would shoot for the Core Duo simply for the DVDRW

That's a good question...

If the Core Duo had none of the problems (like excessive heat, whining) I'd probably go with it. It's faster, and the speed bump from 64 Bit is minimal. Plus, a DVD burner sounds awesome.

how to find out whetere the 2.0CD suffer from the "problems" heat,whinning, etc???
is there a way to check in the store ?

I would go for the 1.83 and just buy a cheap external DVD burner off of newegg.com. The core 2 duo to my understanding is the Rev B. of the macbooks.

Tough choice but according to a benchmark, the 1.83 C2D performed the same as the 2.0 CD, maybe slighter better? I'd go with the C2D.
