Choppy Transition to Full Screen YouTube

On Yosemite Public Beta 3 using Safari, when maximizing YouTube to full screen, the transition/animation is choppy. Anyone else experience this or know of a way to make it smoother?

All other animations like Mission Control/Expose/Desktop Swiping/App Maximizing all look good. Only YouTube full screen is choppy.

This is on my Late 2013 Retina MBP15. It should have enough power to full screen YouTube without issue. iGPU or dGPU doesn't matter.

Don't recall if YouTube is running the HTML5 or Flash version of YouTube if that matters. I will check when I get back to the computer later.

I am experiencing the same issue as the OP (even on the GM release).

On a different note: I would be interested to know if there is any hack to disable Youtube videos being taken to a new workspace when maximizing the player window. It is very annoying especially when you have multiple workspaces open and the YouTube video is added at the back of all spaces. I am not sure why they designed it this way.

Updated to Public Beta 4/GM Candidate 1.0 and its still a bit choppy. I confirmed its using the HTML version of YouTube.

Also agree with costica1234 that it is strange how it opens up as a 'new window' in Mission Control when in full screen.

Opening anything in full screen opens a new window in mission control. It's not specific to YouTube. This way you can pan through spaces and still use the same window for safari that you are watching in.
