iPhone XS Max Choppy video playback on iPhone XS and XS Max.

It would be great if the title of this thread could be updated to something like Choppy video playback on iPhone XS and XS Max.
We are filing bug reports to Apple with links to this thread, and they’re probably going to think it’s a Netflix app issue and might dismiss it without reading the posts.

Just packed up my XS for the return tomorrow.
All these bugs together with the unjustified pricetag for a sluggish phone somehow destroyed the joy for this iPhone.

Yeah, but don’ t hold your breath , they’ ll never do a callback so fast. If only some high profile youtuber or review site reported about the problems we are having, would speed up a fix considerably.

To everyone: please file those reports to apple about these issues.

An article on the home page reporting this common stuttering issue would definitely help to circulate the information to Apple.

I had general stuttering issues but they went away after a few days. Probably related to the typical new phone background indexing tasks.

How many of you here had the iPhone X before the XS? - i tried playing with a iPhone X and I also found stutter on that model. But the LCD models seems to stutter far less.

I had an iPhone X that I traded in. It had no stutter problems at all. My wife still has her X, and when I play the same video side by side you can see the difference. The XS Max will have choppiness and stuttering at seemingly random times across a range of apps.
 
Anyone have a dev account for the just released new beta?
 
I hope somebody could test out the new beta, I have a dev account but don’t want to use a beta on my Max.
