chose the iphone over BB 9700....

And couldn't be happier. I used BB for the last 5 years since my company wouldn't allow iphones. that changed this november. The iphone is so much easier to use than the BB. I have found typing to be a non issue as I was worried about the lack of physical keyboard, but I feel I type just as fast on the iphone. I do wish the battery was better, but fortunately with a full days use I have never gotten below 25% and usually finish the day around 35-40%.

I do have one concern I thought I would ask and I hope this isn't bringing up a sore subject. My iphone does have a rattle in the top right area of the device. I did a search on this topic, which seemed to be controversial, but most of the more recent responses were back in the end of July timeframe. Unfortunately I was unable to discern from my search how this may be resolved. Is it something we all are having to live with or is it a defect and warrant replacement? None of the threads I read really seemed to clarify this, and since most are dated several months back I thought I would see what, if anything, people have done since then regarding the rattling?

It's the autofocus mechanism for the camera, I believe. I had it both on my original phone and the replacement I got, though the original's rattle was a bit louder. Never affected the functionality of the phone, either way.

I guess it is hit or miss with the rattle... I have had 2 3G 8gb and 1 16gb 3GS and haven't experienced the rattling at all.

I did read on several of the threads that many of the replacements had the same problem. I also would agree that the performance of the phone has not suffered. But, I could never figure out from my search if this was a defect or not. If it is a defect, then is apple going to do anything about it. Again, I am just wondering since it seems to have been several months since many of the last posts on this topic.

One reason I am trying to figure this out is I am still in my 30 days with ATT and have about 10 left. If there is no fix for the issue then I would skip the hassle of getting a replacement, but if there has been a fix then I would take that step.
