Chromatica camera public beta testing

We have started our first public beta testing of Chromatica camera app using a new method provided by Apple. The link to join the testing is:

The current official release we have “unlocked” the Portrait Lighting effect in Photos app for photos captured with Chromatica camera in depth mode (all phones with dual camera system, starting from iPhone 7 Plus).

The upcoming release (and therefore current beta) also “unlocks” a depth adjustment in Photos app for all photos captured with Chromatica camera in depth mode.

If you capture photo on dual camera system (iPhone 7 Plus, 8 Plus, X, XS, XS Max), after pressing Edit in Photos, the controls should look like on image above

What's the difference between CameraPixels and Chromatica apps?
Since you developing both the apps, so why not combine features into one app instead of having 2 separate apps?

What's the difference between CameraPixels and Chromatica apps?
Since you developing both the apps, so why not combine features into one app instead of having 2 separate apps?

They are targeting different segments. Chromatica is simpler and has only photo capture mode. It's good for starters in manual mobile photography (also due to price of the app) or those who don't need video/bracketing. CameraPixels is much more feature complete (and therefore more expensive), more complicated due to amount of settings and targeted more advanced users. We're rewriting CameraPixels from scratch by using latest Apple technologies and should have it on public beta testing soon too

Reading the description on the AppStore gave an impression that Chromatica has different features not available in CameraPixels. Is that the case or does CameraPixels has all features from Chromatica plus more?

Since CameraPixels wasn't updated for some time it has less "modern" features like focus peaking, clipping warnings, object tracking, optical stabilisation for photo capture (it does have it for bracketing though), etc. But we're working on adding all those features to CameraPixels. So at the end CameraPixels will be a big brother/sister of Chromatica

Auto flash doesn't work

Auto flash doesn't work

Auto-flash is disabled when optical image stabilization is enabled. This is a hardware limitation. You can set flash to ON explicitly if you sure you need it.
