'Cause Chrome sucks.

I'll get my helper hat on now. You can try a complete uninstall - drag the Chrome app from Applications folder into AppCleaner. Delete all related files: https://freemacsoft.net/downloads/AppCleaner_3.4.zip

Then restart your Mac with reopen windows when logging back in disabled/unticked, reinstall Chrome, and hopefully it should be a little more stable.

Just a matter of interest.

I've been trying out 'Chrome' for a few days now (boredom or some other undefined reason) and am really quite happy with it(Chrome). Anything in particular I should be aware of; apart from the 'Google' infrastructure robbing me of my identity;) etc.?

Nah don't mind me, I'm just a petulant Google-hating old soak. :D

Hate is a strong word.

Reasons?

Just nosey:)

Oh boy, this feels like my last intervention. Let's change hate to grumble and that'll be more accurate.

Stance on privacy, flaky commitment to products (frequently discontinued/go to the next thing without any great vision), and YouTube is getting ever more irritating. Chrome is a bloated resource hog on macOS and I don't like the way it installs into %AppData% rather than Program Files on Windows. Plus that whole Android-stealing-iOS thing from ol' Schmidty waay back when.

Generally they're not a company I respect or admire. But plenty do. Each to their own.

Had I known my little prod would have started this, I wouldn't have said it. I'll keep more of a zip in future.

Chrome is OK, it is what it is. For some reason I cannot view my newspaper on Safari but Chrome is peachy. I mostly use Safari but Chrome has it's uses for me at times. Nothing wrong with it. Glad we have choices.

No need to worry from my point of view. I just like to know people have strong opinions.

I suppose I feel much the same about Coca Cola, Sky & M Soft..

Each has their own experience. It is good to know/learn from others though. Saves making blunders out of ignorance.
