iPhone Chrome crashes and erases all tabs

I know this is an old issue but has anyone heard ANYTHING from google about fixing or helping with this? Chrome seems to be crashing more than ever. And for years I’ve had the problem of it closing all my open tabs. Sometimes it offers to restore the session, but when it doesn’t I lose every single open tab and the “recent tabs” list is completely empty. How is this a glitch they haven’t fixed yet? How can that list of open tabs just disappear without a trace when it’s obvious they store every single piece of information about you? If chrome crashes on my Mac the recent tabs are always there. But many times on iPhone they are lost forever. Unbelievably frustrating.
