I know this issue may be better off in a Chrome forum, but I wanted to post here too. Lately whenever I drag a picture from a website from Chrome to the Desktop, the Downloads folder on the Dock, or even a folder on the desktop, the corresponding location opens up in a Finder window. If I drag a picture to the Desktop, a Desktop window opens. It's really redundant for what I'm doing and it hasn't been like this before. I'm sure this is a Chrome issue because Firefox and Safari both don't do it.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix it?

The exact same thing is happening to me. It only just started a couple of days ago but is very annoying and would love to know why it is doing this. I just recently updated Chrome as somehow my passwords were all erased.
