There was some talk over a year ago about Apple opening up Safari to make it easier for developers to port Chrome extensions to Safari. But since then, it doesn't seem like much is happening. There're still way more Chrome extensions than Safari ones.

Does anyone know what's going on? Are developers not interested? Is it harder than advertised? I'm eagerly waiting for more Safari extensions.

I haven’t heard this one. I use Firefox because Safari and Chrome are locked down when it comes to adblock extensions. I mean it really doesn’t matter anymore because I have pihole set up but it just annoying that ad companies have that much power over Apple
