chrome/hotspot shield/proxy problems

I installed this proxy extension in chrome (cant remember what its called) but i couldn't get it to work properly so i removed it. However now i have a hotspot shield banner at the top of my browser and i cant figure out how to remove it!

when i installed that chrome extension it made no mention of hotspot shield and its REALLY pissing me off! I dont know what it is, i dont care, i just want rid of it.

Also, google thinks im a robot, telling me im sending out automated queries and Iv'e got to do a captcha every time i want to search...



please help!

solved = used time machine to restore the computer to the day before the banner showed up, time machine is a life saver!

I just spotted your post, I use Hotspot shield and consider it to be one of the best bits of software I have used in ages.

It works with a simple click and lets me use a US proxy with ease and, more importantly speed, I can now watch Hulu TV programs and films despite living in England.

This is Art from Hotspot Shield. We don't have a google chrome extension, and we certainly are not aware of any extension that will somehow insert our ads in user's browsers. The only way our ads can show up on the top is when users are connected through hotspot shield server.

I noticed that you were able to solve the problem (very glad to hear that). But if you happen to have an image of the ad that was showing up, I'd love to see it so that we can figure out the real issue.

i downloaded the extension on my PC, when ever i connect the HSS ; no internet connection.
and i cannot access your websit, because its blocked.
