chrome shutting itself down

I think I downloaded some bs and now it's messing with my web browsers..

First, it was changing my default search engine, some pop ups appearing randomly, chrome completely shutting itself down.. I thought that on a Mac (just made the switch from Windows) I won't have to deal with these things..

How can I fix this issue ?
Better said, find and remove the cause..

Try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac.

You still have to practice safe hex on a Mac. Be careful of what, and where from, you download and the like.

Yeh, Malware bytes found a bunch of stuff which I managed to get rid of.
