Chrome vs Chromium vs Safari vs webkit nightly

Which browser do you prefer out of these and why? I used to like Chrome a lot but have found it to be unstable lately. I've used webkit nightly a bit and even though I prefer the Chrome interface, webkit nightly seems more stable.

Note, I left out Firefox on purpose because that is not a choice for me.

I'm using Chrome's dev channel. It has auto updates and that's what makes me prefer it to Chromium. Never really used Safari. Tried it but can't get used to it.

Webkit nightly is the fastest, and uses the least resources, on my machine.

Safari 6.0.3 is my default but I've been playing with Firefox 20 and lately Chrome 26. All 3 have made great strides and getting better all the time. It just comes down to preference. There's thing I like and dislike about each so I move from one to another over time. Fortunately, there's no need to lock into just one.

I did that test as well, and Firefox seems to be better than webkit nightly. It will be interesting to see Chrome after they ditch the Webkit framework. I would assume that once this happens, everyone should expect a big performance boom as well.

It's a nightly build. It is not more stable. It changes every day. I can't believe anyone uses it as a browser. It's not even beta.

I'm relatively new to Mac (bought my Air 13 less than month ago, prior experience PCs only) and
I use Safari because is seems smoother and saves battery better (it's important for me).

However.

I have one problem with Safari, key presses are sometimes not registered properly, for example when i try to close tab in Safari, cursor moves back and forth, up and down, but just a little, instead of closing tab. This happens quite often, i thought maybe touchpad is faulty, tried Chrome and i don't seem to have that problem in it. Also i never had problems like this on my old Vaio (used Chrome there too).

This is the only thing that spoils Safari for me (well, other than bad bookmark panel look, and tiny font, Chrome deals better with it, but i'm used too it by now).

Anyone else had such experience with touchpad?

Chrome until Adblock for Safari fixes the memory leak and Safari stops reloading previous web page when going back. That one really frustrates me. As far as speed goes they are all within micro seconds of each other so does it really matter? your reaction time would make up for the 1 microsecond slower anyway so in the real world they are all the same speed. Just look at resource hog, features and cluttered UI is my decision process

Have always preferred chrome, but chrome has been acting up lately. slower than safari, seems to lag a little more than safari on JS intensive sites.

Safari sometimes quit suddenly. Now I use Webkit. No problem so far. No regret at all. Smoother and more stable.

Except that Chrome is not ditching Webkit. They are branching off on their own using Webkit as the base.

Safari for almost everything, and Chrome for things Safari can't handle (like YoutTube )
