I’ve run into an odd Chromecast issue with my in-laws new Hisense Android TV, which has Chromecast built-in.
They have an iPhone SE. If they try to Chromecast a video to the TV from the Google Photos app, the video will play on the TV, but the audio comes out of the iPhone SE. They also have a 9th gen iPad and it has the same issue, video casts ok, but the audio comes out of the iPad.
When I tried casting from my iPhone 13 Pro using the Google Photos app, the video plays on the TV with audio, the way it should be. They also have an Android tablet which casts the same as my iPhone. This tells me it’s not an issues with the TV, but I can’t think of a single thing on their two Apple devices that would cause this.
Any ideas what might be going on here? Is there a setting I’m missing on their phone and iPad somewhere?
Thanks!
