Anyone had success converting the movie Chronicle to a M4V file at all? I picked up a copy of the movie since there was no HD option for purchase in iTunes or Amazon. I ripped the disc with Pavtube Bluray Ripper (which I've done thousands of times). The rip completes, I convert with Handbrake and HB crashes right towards the end of the conversion. I tried a different computer, same issue. Tried DVDfab to extract and HB to convert, same crash. I then noticed that the BD disc rip when loaded into HB showed streaking in the lower half (which I believe is a copy protection feature), meaning that neither program seems to be extracting correctly. (I recall finding a post on the DVDfab forums stating issues with this movie, but then state its resolved). Appears to be something with BD+ protection?

Anyway, chime in if you've had luck or if you've had failure. My trial for MakeMKV is expired, but wondering if I just need another program. Thanks!

I can't help you with your problem converting, but MakeMKV should be able to be downloaded again even if your trial is over. It is still in beta. Their site should list a product key for you.

Thanks ben911f. Didn't realize they had a trial key available. Hopefully one of these dang programs will work (or for the love of Jobs, just put an HD version on iTunes already!). Thanks!

MakeMKV did the trick. Converted with Handbrake and no crashes. Don't see any streaking in the movie thus far. Thanks!
