Has there been any mention of cigarette lighter power option as I drive for a living. I hope it's doable.

The end of the cable is a USB so of you've already got a cig lighter to USB adaptor, you can use that.

Just get a cigarette adapter that has USB ports. They have them that will automatically sense the wattage needs, and charge ipads.
