I just got a Mini and was disappointed to find that my 17inch Cinema display is not compatible. Found that I can buy an adapter from Apple for the tune of $100. That seems a little steep considering I'm trying to use two Apple products.
Is there and alternative?

Thanks,
Phil

I'm assuming you have the 17" LCD Studio Display with ADC connector.

No, there's no alternative, because Apple never licensed the ADC connectors to third party manufacturers (that I'm aware of). You'll have to buy the adapter, or buy a new DVI-capable monitor.

Yes this is what I have.
As far as the license goes Belkin does have and adapter for a DVI display to a ADC computer but I have found nothing for the other way around.

Well, Thanks Apple.
I did bid on one on Ebay so we'll see how that goes.
Thanks,
Phil
