Cingular 8125 PPC as modem

I have the directions to connect my PocketPC phone to my laptop using it as a modem, but I don't know what to do on the side of my laptop to tell it to connect.
Can anyone help?

When it's plugged in, open the network preference pane and it should show in there. Configure it from there and then use the app Internet Connect that comes with OS X to connect.

EDIT: It might now show up right in the network status list in the network preference pane, but it should be in the "Show:" menu.

I am getting closer. Looks like I need to learn how to add a new modem string. :shrug: it's all confusing!

Have you checked out HowardForums.com? They have a thread there about the 8125 I believe. A lot of the guys there use Macs too.
