:confused:Ok I used jailbrake, unlock and activate from iLberty+ and everything worked or so I thought. I installed a Cingular sim card and then tried to make a call and it failed. The odd thing is that a red dot is on the phone icon signifying I have voice mail. I'm lost now..Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated......thanks in advance......
This forum is super

Is this how it always is?? When the 3G phone comes out I plan on letting my wife use my 1st gen iphone, she currently has a old Razr and I noticed that her SIM is still a Cingular Sim card.

I'm hoping it works when I put it in the phone ( after I run it through Pwnage, of course )

has anyone had luck using an old Cingular SIM card in an iPhone??

No they are too old. Like I said, just go to an ATT store and get updated ones. They will most likely be free or like 5 bucks. It's not like you will have to change numbers or sign a new contract. They just associate your account to the sim card problem solved.

They wont ask why i need a new one?

No they wont ask. And if they do, just say you bought a new phone and since you are using an old Cingular sim card and the phone is locked to ATT it wont work. They'll help you out. Your problem is not unique as when the companies merged this became a big issue. You probably wont even need an excuse, They'll see the old sim and know exactly why you want a new one.
