Long time lurker! Whenever I've had a Mac question, I've always come to the forums to search for answers. There are so many other people that would have the same inquiries as I do. So many people are helpful on these forums, and I appreciate it.. After scouring Mac Rumors and the rest of the internet, I still can't find ANY information on this topic.

I will be buying a Cintiq21ux very soon, but I'm concerned that Wacom may release a new Cintiq in the coming months.

There are old prototype videos from March 2009 of a Cintiq with finger-touch screen capabilities. I know that it is the current "thing" to have everything with multi-touch, especially since Windows 7 supports all of it.

A lot of times with newer hardware there will be fan websites that speculate over rumors, and eventually they can provide a hypothetical date of release (Macrumors is AMAZING at this). However, when I search the massive maw that is Google, I cannot find anything from recent postings that would clarify if we'll be seeing an update to the Wacom Cintiq in the next six months or so.

The last Wacom Cintiq21UX release was in March 2010. It seems like now would be a decent time to buy, but with touch technology on the rise I'm concerned that there may be an update sooner than I think.

If I'm going to drop over $2,000.00 into something, I want to make sure there isn't an update in six months that is going to completely out-rank what is out there currently. I'd rather wait and buy the God Machine with that same money. o_o

You're my only hope! :D

Wacom will not update that anytime soon. I've used Wacoms for years and it will be years before you see any new models from them.

It took years to update the cintiq 21UX to the current model. I'm going to sell my old 21UX to get the new one (twice the amount of pressure levels!).

Trust me those are going to be 2,000 bucks well invested. Once you use a Cintiq you never go back, not even to regular tablets.

Good luck
