Civ 4/Beyond the Sword Bootcamp

I'm running windows XP SP3 on my mac book pro 2.8ghz. I've installed civ, warlord, and beyond the sword, and patched them up to date. The game boots. Runs fine. But, unlike when i've played before, the game does not automatically cycle between active units, and does not automatically end the turn. Each turn, i have to find each unit of mine, click on it, give it an order, and then find other units, and repeat. This applies even if i've given an order to a unit the previous turn. I've also noticed i have to use **** + return to end the turn, and i dont get a blinking message screen at the bottom of the screen at the end of the turn informing me the turn is over and asking me to press space or enter.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Any thoughts?
