Hello i have windows 7 bootcamped on my 15' macbook pro and everytime i try to run the game, it is extremely slow and it eventually doesnt repsond and i have to shut it down. i have a intel core 2 duo running at 2.53 GHz and my memory is at 4gb and 1067mhz .

so im kind of curious to wondering how its not running swiftly especially since i put 30 gb into windows partioned disk.

any help or idea on what i can do to get it running more smoothly?

mainly go get the newest graphics drivers you can get, the ones that come from Apple aren't the best performance. I'm guessing that is probably an nvidia GPU in yours?... can get the best drivers straight from nvidia.com

Did you get Civ V through Steam? If so, you can download the Mac version and compare the speeds between the OSX and Windows versions. Maybe the OSX version will run better.

Yes i did and i play it on mac, but i wanted to play on windows so i can play online with my friends, and the mac version by far runs faster

I'm running it on a new 2.2 i7 MBP. It really stresses the system even on the default settings (low for almost everything). Towards the end of the game, there are many stalls and hang-ups.
I've heard a lot of complaints about it running awfully on Mac. So I think we're all SOL until there's an update for it.
