I am wondering how both the 11 and 13" versions of the current 2010 MBAs handle Civilization IV and V? I am currently playing Civ IV on a rev B machine and it handles it but gets hot real quick. I am planning to upgrade to Civ V and if you add WoW that is it as far as gaming goes for me.

Then if anyone would venture a guess as to how the upcoming 2011 machines will do with this game would also be highly appreciated. If they can handle these games then I plan to get one and give ny older one to the wife.

Thanks for any insight!

Civilization V eats computer hardware for breakfast and the DirectX 11 codepath is the only way you should run it.

Civ V sucks on the maxed out MBA.
Games I have played decently: CoD MW2 and SC2 and Minecraft.

I've played around 30 hours of Civ4 (vanilla and BTS) on my 11" 1.4 MBA. It's flawless.

Great info! Does your 11.4 heat up a lot while running it? Fans on full speed or?
