No clue why - or for how long....

The link you provided doesn't work for me, says it's only available in the US store. I manually searched it, and it is free in Canada, as you said (I'm Canadian too). The app description says that it's free for a limited time thanks to FAAD (Free App A Day).

I already bought this one, though, a few weeks after it came out; really enjoyed it. I'm glad people have the chance to pick it up for free if they haven't already
