Ok , here goes & keep with me.
Downloaded public beta 3 today , & like what i see.
When the phone is locked & screen off & someone sends me a message , i pick up the phone & raise to wake works & the message banner on screen. Now i have message preview off , so just gives name. I thought that if i force touched the message it would allow me to open message & see content & reply , without unlocking phone. Instead it prompts me to unlock phone , & once unlocked it takes me to home screen where i just press the messages icon. I can pull down notification centre & force touch on it there , but not from raise to wake etc.
Now when i receive a Whatsapp message , i can force touch from raise to wake etc , & i can read & reply without unlocking phone. I must add though , I have the Whatsapp message preview setting switched to on , whereas on the imessage i have the message preview switched off.
Now is this the reason why the force touch works differently between the two , & i have to have imessage preview switched on to work how i expected , or is there no way you can reply to an imessage using force touch without unlocking phone first & either pulling down from notification centre or activating messages app ?
Cheers for any help.
