I've got some gift cards and I'm thinking of ordering an Apple classic buckle leather band but wanted to see if you guys thought it was worth it to buy OEM or not. The plus is that my gift cards are for the Apple Store so I wouldn't have to pay a dime out of pocket.

My only other question is if anyone thought the stainless steel lugs looked tacky with the space black body? I have a 38mm. Specifically I was looking at the blue jay or marine blue.

Thanks!

What else would you spend the gift cards on? If nothing else, I don't see why not. I have the space black but I would get the black classic buckle.

You could easily buy some 3rd party space black lugs that would match a lot better than the SS ones.

Yeah that's true I may see what June brings and if the rumored Coach bands make an appearance. From the leaked photos it seems as if they have some with black lugs. I really like the Hermes style bands but really don't want to spend that much on a band. I'm a guy but I think the double tour looks awesome. I like the cuff too. I've been curious about some of the third party cuff style bands on Amazon. Anyone have any experience?

I got a dark brown, textured cuff. Posted it here:

I don't think it looks good with the clear adapters for the black watch. I know leather loop isn't available in your size, but looks better. For the 38 I would go for Milanese

I just found a seller that has all color adapter and buckles for the Herme style bands on Etsy. I'm sure eventually we will come across some for the classic buckle.

I just recently replaced my stainless steel with a space black (went swimming with the SS, turns out the watches are not as waterproof as you'd believe!)

Now all my bands are for the ss, so a few I'll sell but I thought I'd attempt replacing the adaptors on the saddle classic buckle, and painting the buckle myself in gloss black

That really does look nice. Always heard people mention that they might buy a regular band with SS ornamentation and swap it out for their Space Black, but I'd never seen it done. Actually seeing it, It really does look nice. What gloss did you use?

I masked off the leather part of the strap, then used metal automotive grey primer for a few coats, then after dried I used automotive gloss black for a few coats. Left for 15 hours to dry
