iPod Classic ipod EU version -> volume issue

Hi again mates.
Well, i bought finally the 160GB 6th gen classic.
I realised that the volume is frustrating low, compare to my 80GB (probably USA version)
I googled a lot the last 3 days for this issue but it seems to me that at the moment there is no actually solution to remove the volume limit-cap.
I would like you to tell me if someone knows a way to fix it
The 160Gb is late 2009 model
I bought it at a bargain price and i don't really want to sell it and to look for a US version....

On another note, i have the mp3 gain software and i know that i can boost the volume around to 100db (kind of distorted) but i would like to unlock the ipod's volume rather to have this kind of solution...

I know you probably don't want to hear this but that limit is there for a reason. In a few years you'll be thankful it was limited. I listen to my iPod (limited EU) at half volume. I'll never know why someone needs full volume (again, limited). You'll just destroy your hearing and need a hearing aid when older.

Unless of course you need the volume because you are already deaf from listening to too much loud music. I have a buddy who at 30 might need a hearing aid from not protecting his ears when he was younger.

well, i'm not a kid. ( I'm a 40+ yrs pld pro musician and i hear very well because i was very careful with my ears from my teens.
besides the fact that i'am used to have my 80GB classic at higher volumes, it's my right to have the choice to set the volume amount, right?
when i'm outdoor in public i have to set the volume in maximum and even then i can't enjoy it...
anyway it's personal but if you (or anybody else) know a way to unlock it pls tell it to me!

hey, i don't know if it still works, but goPod always used to work for me. can't test it for you, i'm afraid, as i bought a US iPod classic just for this reason (also it was cheaper!)

gopod can't work with 6th gen ipods... i've already tried it....
