I want to buy new tablet ( i prefer 11 inch or maybe 12.4 frin sanszbg) I use it for 80 percent for reading my books and manuals ( lot of pictures and anatomy so cant use reader) Is there any difference in screen technology for this purpose? In past pentile matrix made text less sharp. Is f.e. oled healthier or better for reading books? I dont have PWM issues.

OLED tablets like the ones Samsung produces offer the best picture quality but lack brightness compared to Apple's LED tech.

There is no OLED iPad.

So your choice is between MiniLED and classic IPS. You won’t notice much difference between them for reading books and manuals. MiniLED is better for watching movies, especially those that support HDR or Dolby Vision.

For me, as someone who is a heavy reader, I find reading on my iPhone 13 Pro Max to be uncomfortable primarily due to size. I tried for a good chunk of this year to read heavily on my iPhone and it was not comfortable - my eyes would have difficulty focusing (especially at night in dark mode). I never had any of these problems on my iPad Pro 11 (reading brightness way down - dark mode).

I offer what has worked for me… the size of the text is far more important to ”healthier eyes” than OLED - but my experience with OLED has not been good, but it may be because of size.
