So I've had my iPad for a few days now. The only people that have seen it are my friends and family. I don't know what it is but I know I'm going to feel like an ******* when I pull my iPad out in class tomorrow (maybe it's the recession). Anyone else have this same anxiety or experience and how did it go?

The people in my calsses all love it but most of them are not the jelous techie types like me so its all good.

Do students use pen and paper anymore?

No.

Just make sure there isn't a string or a lanyard wrapped around your pinky when you pull it out.

I feel so bad for that guy.

People gawk at it a little and ask to touch it. I'm known as the computer guy in my class though so no one is surprised.

Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I don't want them talking about the snobby kid with the ipad! I also don't want their grubby paws on it. I have only used it in one class and I couple people just asked how it was. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I will leave you with a quote from my uncle:

"when in doubt, whip it out."

I got a lot of attention the first time, but after that it just started to die down, now in the classes I use it in, I don't really get bothered anymore.

pfft whatever.

People will look at you but just ignore them. If it looks like you are using the Ipad to be productive, then everything will change.

They will change from "oh look at that douche with the ipad" to..."does he have an ipad...man, he looks like he's really using it well"

It's like the pink shirt. It's all in the attitude.

Remember: PINK SHIRT!!!!!
