Clean Install of El Capitan - Errors

Hi Guys -

I'm having issues doing a clean install of El Capitan. I currently have it installed but I want to do it cleanly to get rid of all the older versions on my computer (2015 MacBook Retina). I watched this video and I'm following everything step-for-step and I'm still having issues.

I'm having issues when entering the command into the terminal. I keep getting the error shown (pictures attached).

I then tried using Disk Maker X 5 and I get this error. (Pictures Attached).

Can anyone help me install this properly/cleanly?

You don't have any pictures on your post, other than the video (which doesn't really tell about any problems that YOU may be having... )

DiskmakerX web site has a lot of error fixes which may help you.
Or, post the actual error (you don't need pictures, just the text of the error), and I can search for what might fix those errors - I've been using DiskmakerX for several years, and have some experience with some of the recent problems that might appear.

Is the El Capitan Installer in your Applications Folder? If not just download it again from the App Store, ignore the message that it is already installed and when the installation asks to start, just close it.

Ah, I see your pictures. For DiskmakerX, you can choose Select an OS X Installation app, then browse to the location where you have your El Capitan installer.
Step 1 is to make sure you download the El Capitan installer from the App Store.
The installer will automatically launch when the download completes, so
Step 2 is to Quit the Installer when you see it open.
As Erdbeertorte says, the App Store will download that installer to your Applications folder. Did you copy it to somewhere else after you downloaded it? Don't let it install, just Quit the downloaded installer, and then use DiskMakerX to make your installer. An 8GB USB flash drive is ideal for that.

The error in your terminal also would indicate that your El Capitan installer is not in the Applications folder, which would be the reason why your command is not working.
You don't need to do both the Terminal procedure AND the DiskmakerX - as you end up with the same bootable installer. Just use the one that works first

Thanks! Forgot the part about going to the App Store to get the Installer lol.

The terminal still doesn't work but I got Disk Maker X to!

That no longer works to make the El Capitan bootable installer, and hasn't been too successful since Mavericks. The remade Disk Utility in El Capitan especially does not let restore happen as easily as older OS X systems.
You have to use the createinstallmedia command to make it all bootable.
That's also what the DiskmakerX uses, but just makes it easy and pretty.
And, no need to worry about mistyping the terminal commands, which is likely what happened with ghsNick
