Hi,

I have installed Clean My Mac 4 application. When I started to do Smart Scan it shows me prompt to enter password. I have done it multiple times but Helper application did not installed. How can I fix it? I have recorded it on video attached to this post.

Regards,
J.

SOLUTION:

1. Open Launchpad - Applications - Utilities - Terminal and paste the following command:
sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist

2. Press the Enter key, enter your user password, and then press the Enter key again. Please note that your password is not shown on the screen. It is absolutely normal. Please make sure that you enter it correctly.

3. Restart your Mac and try a new scan with CleanMyMac X.

I've got the same problem. I used this solution but did not work.
I got this:

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist: No such file or directory
Load failed: 2: No such file or directory

I checked the directory file and there is missing this .plist so there is nothing to launch.

So what could be done? Or am I doing something wrong? I am using CleanMyMacX version 4.7.0. OS BigSur

Thanks.

Thank you very much.
I signed up purely to say thanks as this has been annoying me for ages.
CleanMyMacX version 4.7.0. OS BigSur on Mac Mini - M1
I've just been looking around the forums and i think i'll be hanging around here a little with hopefully some helpful input too.

Thank you so much, AjTee. Also registered to say thanks! This irritating bug has been with me for literally months and I eventually just gave up on CleanMyMac. Just tried a brand new version and still got the same old **** that MacPaw just never felt the need to fix and a Google search brought me here. So glad I can finally use CleanMyMac again!

Thank you AjTee and **** you MacPaw!

PS: I'm on an old late 2013 iMac running macOS Catalina.

Hey just wanted to say thank you I was having an issue with that for a while and just ignored it but then I realize it didn't make sense to pay for a subscription and not be able to use software because of an annoying permission situation, this was a very quick fix need more people like you!?
??

I followed the steps in terminal but got:

"No such file or directory
Load failed: 2: No such file or directory"

Decided to go inspect my Library and noticed that I don't even have a "LaunchDaemons" directory folder.. closest thing I have is "LaunchAgents"

Any help?
😞

Thanks heaps! This worked like a charm. Should have done this much sooner than wasting hours with cleanmymac support.

Thank you to AjTee. I have been uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and using Macpaw support. Running Catalina on an MBP 2017. I tried this was skeptical bc of the cleanmymac4 designation in the line BUT this worked immediately. Appreciate the expertise AjTee.

for those who have "/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist: No such file or directory"
You need to reinstall the app, it wasn't installed correctly from a dmg.
