Cleanest, simplest solution for printing?

What I'm seeing in apps like eprint is that an IP for the printer is needed.

I found that I cannot print to shared printer on the network (home) and currently no method for forcing an IP address direct to a printer.

Any other options besides buying a wireless printer or putting a printer on an actual print server hookup?

I tried several of these print apps and finally gave up. Now I just email whatever I want to print to myself and then print it from my desktop computer.

Yes, OS4 is in the fall. However, I'm not certain if printing will be then or in a release before OS4.
