what would be best to use to clean a white macbook..the area around the trackpad and keyboard that is..

I have the black and I just cleaned the entire thing apart from the screen using a damp cloth, and then drying it off with a dry one. Seems to have done the trick all the smudges are gone and its back to looking like day 1.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. They're cheap and for the screen bezel and keyboard-topcase area NOTHING will clean better. Trust me.

ps - don't use them on the screen or exterior shiny case since they're mildly abrasive.

iKlear is great for cleaning any part of your Mac.

See, I always see people recommending iKlear but the first time I used the stuff it took forever to get the streak marks off my new glossy SR MBP screen. It certainly was clean after nearly 45 minutes of buffing, but somehow I bet this was less the iKlear and more the super long period of sitting there buffing a laptop screen. Didn't work for me.

What I like about iKlear is that it is the only cleaner selled at the Apple Stores, so it must be the one that at least won't damage your Mac.
