Hello,
I am about to sell my current iMac because I have gotten a new one.

1. I wanted to restore the iMac as new. It originally game with Tiger if I erase the disk, do I have to install tiger, the upgrade to leopard and then upgrade to snow leopard?

2.Is there a way to delete everything except some programs like Photoshop, iLife 09 and iWork?

3.Is there a way to "reset" the iMac so when the buyer turns the computer it starts with the setup and welcome movie?

Thank you

1. You can just use the Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD you probably bought to re-install Mac OS X and install iLife via the Applications Restore DVD that came with your old Mac.

2. Yes, but as you don't sell the licenses for PS or iWork, you have to remove them. Just re-install Mac OS X via the Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD and make sure to wipe the contents of the HDD via Disk Utility.

3. Selling my MacBook, how to reinstall OS X? via "reinstall mac os x to sell"

EDIT: That guide Hellhammer provided is more accurate. I completely forgot about, even though I added it to my collection of pre-fabricated answers.
