what is the best way to remove oil and finerprints off it to make it look new .. what do you guys use ?

iKlear, simply amazing stuff. I use it 1/2 times a week. Can get it in Apple stores (it's Apple recommended) or on Amazon.

It has different cloths for the palmrest, display, and keyboard/trackpad. You can also use it on your iPhone/iPod and the outer casing of the uMBP.

thanks because im seeing finger marks on the keys and also on the trackpad and its driving me crazy

All I use is a dry Microfiber cloth, turn on my desk lamp over the keys and wipe them off, one by one. For the touchpad, I use the same microfiber cloth and wipe it off. For the palm rest, I take the microfiber cloth and damp it a LITTLE and wipe it off. Pretty simple and free.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people will drop thousands on a laptop, and then refuse to buy any kind of cleaning solution to clean it!

I use iKlear on my MBP, and both my external mouse and keyboard.

Great stuff, crummy screen cleaner though.

You do know that these black keys on the unibody laptops are prone to quick wear and tear right? Meaning they will look permanently shiny when you look at them at an angle with light.

Guess what partially causes that? Oil from your fingers being left on the keys!

iKlear is great. I also suggest getting a Moshi palmguard. It will help your Palmrest stay clean.

i Have been using iKlear for years, never a problem, better then anything else I have used out there

microfiber rag with a light spray of water. budget friendly, works wonders, and it's exactly what apple tells us to do in the their instruction manuals.

I got a pretty grungy iBook G4 from work and I used rubbing alcohol to clean it. I used some soft scrub for the really stubourn stuff. Can't say I'd use the same stuff on a new MBP though. I'd go with the iKlear or just some water.

Yeah, that means 1 or 2 times a week. If I had meant 'one half' I would have said '0.5'.

I thought you meant you diluted it it 1:1 with water or something. Pretty funny.

I tend to use microfibre for cleaning. Giving it a good rub can displace the oil, so long as you're not applying any forward pressure (ie, against the screen). I have a problem with buying the LCD cleaners, as I have in the past, and mostly found them lackluster.
