Cleaning MBA

I have tried searching the forum for this and keep coming up with cleaning the MBA as in cleaning to make room. I was wondering what type of products can you clean these with? like the screen or the body. It isnt plastic like my MB and this may sound like a dumb question but I want to clean it with something safe I also want to keep it looking good for a long time. So I am also hoping they come out with a light weight cover for this as well as a bag. I want to keep this MBA looking like new as long as possible.

Hm, I always used Windex, and on my white MacBook palmrest, a tiiiiiny bit of all-purpose cleaner with bleach to keep it white.

I'm sure someone's got a better product or idea for keeping the aluminum nice and shiny.

Hmm I never tried the bleach on my MB. But I guess windex wouldnt hurt the aluminum either. But I do not think I can use windex on the screen. Do you guys know if best buy still sells that air spray stuff that cleans out the inside l am not sure how to explain that but itll spray something cold for like getting the keyboard clean every so often. Or maybe get some cleaning stuff that they use on regular TVs that is safe.

Best buy has a brand called Dynex. It a laptop cleaning kit for 16.99. I thought it was a different brand that I had purchased before called monster or something. Maybe no one sells those anymore.

Apple sells a good cleaning solution at the apple store. They have both wet naps and spray style. Can't remember the manufacterer but it is the only ones they carry.

Failing that, I would only use water on a damp cloth. You never know if a chemical will eventually stain or bleach the material over time and with heat/cold/uv ray reactions.

Never spray directly on the screen or area. Always put on the cloth and rub.

Thanks guys I am going to look at Apple tomorrow then. Or just go with the paper towel but still that isnt going to clean the keys out because they do need cleaning as well sometimes. Sorry this is the first nicest laptop I have ever had so I want to keep it looking good without wrecking it. Thanks though.

Eyeglass wet wipes does wonders on the screen! As for the aluminum, just use a damp microfiber.

iKlear is the only stuff I have ever used. I usually buy from amazon or ebay though as it's more expensive at apple. I was told this is the product they use in apple stores.

why waste almost $20 (including tax) on "cleaning kit"? My experience is to use 1 windex + 3 portions of tap water. spay the mix onto the screen and use tissue paper to dry it out...same on palm rest and touch pad.

Thats probably enough info before someone comes on here and leaves a rude comment or say something stupid it seems to be happening a lot on here and I am going to get irritated with this forum if I have to see one more time.
