A simple question from a simple person.

I'm cleaning up and updating a rather sprawling website for a non-profit org. The guy before me made a right mess, with htm files, images and assets scattered all over the directory stucture.

In dreamweaver, when I'm looking at a file, usually .htm, or .jpg or .gif, (tho a couple are .css, .js, and .dwt) how can I find out which other files (if any) on the local site link to or use the file I'm looking at?

Many thanks,

I'm pretty sure if you try to delete a file and its being used or linked to from another file it will tell you before you confirm the delete. I'm not entirely sure though..

Try making a new page/image, put the image on the page then delete the image from inside DW and see what happens...
