I have my macbook for 3 months and it irritated me cuz there were hundreds of scratch marks on the top after just a couple months.

So I experience with a clear coating spray that I used for car rims.

I tested out by spraying it on the top of the macbook with good distance because I want the rough feel instead of the smooth feel. Now I have a rough feeling macbook with no scratches, but less shiny.

For those that are interested in it, you can buy the clear coating spray called Dupli-color from your local car shop. I got it from kragens for $5.
Also this spray is meant for metal, so don't put a lot on it or else it might make cracks on the plastic.

Hitting any plastic material with an aerosol paint is a risk -- depending on the plastic, the solvent in the paint may etch or melt the plastic, or the chilling effect of the propellant may crack and shatter the plastic. Caveat pictor.

I have a suggestion and I tried it myself on my SR Macbook White.

Use Meguiar's Plastx.

It works by removing the hair-line scratches and also give you a sense of smoothness on the case of Macbook.

Use it at your own-risk. This is not iKlear !!;)
