iPhone clear lockscreen question...

does anyone know where to find the file for the top rectangle above the numbers that makes the 4 spaces for the password? i'd actually like to delete that box (and just enter my password over blank space).

do-able? any suggestions?

EDIT: actually, i just realized it's the same box in the default lockscreen...can i delete it? (and where is it??) thanx...
EDIT EDIT! okay, lol...core services. but which file? and am i risking hosing it all? or can i enter #s from the keypad without the box around the entered #s...

Question for you... how did you get your lockscreen keypad to look so fluid? I have mine set to trasparent but you can still see the lines that seperate the numbers. Also, my numbers and letters are not as bright.

i'd love to have an inventive answer, but i think it's the default "clear lockscreen" for the 3gs...
(i think; i've been tinkering so much i'm losing track of what i've done...)

EDIT: think i'm gonna leave it for now...removing that just moved the white boxes UNDER the numbers...yikes...

Ouch... As you can see from mine, I have the boxes and background transparent. You should not remove the files. You should create a transparent image of them and copy them into the locations above.

Here are the 2 files... They are transparent so you should highlight the 'attached images' box and then right click to save them to your PC.

I may just be confused but my lockscreen numbers are bright white as in the OP. How do I get them dimmed out/transparent like yours? Not talking about the slider or anything, just the keypad that pops up to unlock after sliding...

where's the UIImages folder? not seeing that...

When creating your theme, you create the UIImages folder in the root of your theme. For example, when you SSH '/private/var/stash/Themes.XXXXXX/MyThemeName' you create the UIImages folder here. In that folder you put the file. Then, using winterboard, you select the new theme you created and respring.

To get rid of the 'Enter Passcode' text on the lock screen you SSH into your theme folder under '/private/var/stash/Themes.XXXXXX/MyThemeName/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/en.lproj'. If you don't have en.lproj, then you will need to create the folder. In that folder, create a file SpringBoard.strings and in that file add the following exactlty as I have it...

If you don't have your own theme, you can get the SpringBoard.string file '/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/Spring.Board.spring'. You can copy the file to your computer, change the string you wish and then copy it back. Don't forget to keep the native file somewhere safe.

Since you are on 3GS, try removing the @2x to the end of the file name.

so...am running this, WITH clear lockscreen. i tried replacing the DeviceLockKeypad files in your mod WITH the ones from clear L.
looks fine UNTIL i press a key, then am seeing the original green image pop up.

any ideas? thanx...this is keeping me from doing my work today!


EDIT: got it, had to remove the keypadPressed png from your folder, and all is well (at least, LOL, until the next "needed" tweak...)

this is out of subject, but how do you make it so theres no battery icon on yours and only percentage?

status bar battery icon, from cydia...activated in winterboard, let's me turn off the battery icon (the most redundant thing if you're using the percentage readout)...

i've pretty much hosed my lockscreen, am deep in repair mode.
(will have to do my REAL work soon tho..)

anyone know what the top bar is when i mess up my password? i get a red-hued window at the top (i'd like to get rid of that window, just have the text there).

hey guys, was just wondering how you managed to get rid of the white boxes above the keypad. I have a theme I really like but it is missing the white boxes. I am looking to put them back.
