Hey, I am running Lion on a 120GB OWC drive and have my home folder on a separate drive. I need to wipe the SSD and put Snow Leopard on it. What is the best way to clear the SSD?

Should I just "erase" the drive in disk utility and have the built in garbage collection take care of the rest, or is there a better way? I do know not to write 0s on it as it will just write more data to the drive and can only decrease the life of the SSD.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd just use the erase option...It's not like you are selling or parting with your Pro, so security isn't really an issue here.

My main worry is performance. So will doing that restore it to original speed like the day I got it?
