The lcd display went out on my old iphone 3g so I upgraded to the 3gs. I am going to sell my old 3g and want to know how to clear all my personal info off of it. Will just running a restore on itunes do it? I can't actually see the screen (I have the white screen of death) to see what info, if any, is still there.

Thanks

I would probably just put it in Recovery or DFU mode and leave it connected until iTunes asks you if it is a new phone or if you want to restore a backup. This should mean no more personal data exists on it

Thanks recovery or DFU mode, is that the same as just plugging it into itune and clicking restore? Thanks
