I just want to say a big 'thank you' to all those that provide helpful info on these forums.

My 250gb MBP was driving me nuts with 160gb of 'system data' i couldn't find.

'm a photographer and a very heavy user of Adobe products. I also ( regret the day i ever bought) 2tb of Icloud space.
I cloud drives me crazy.

I did everything to pull back space in the obvious ways with very little impact and over the last week whilst on an assignment working with 1k 60mb files every day the poor laptop was at best giving me 20gig down to nothing gig through PS. Nightmare...

I'm going off grid for the next 2 months and hate that i have files in the cloud instead on a hard drive but that's another issue. I need to get the h*ll out of Icloud and go back to fully external hard drive living.

ANYWAY.. some people here mentioned DaisyDisk so i spent a whole $10 and et Voila! managed to clean out at least 80gb of tmpm files last night that were Icloud usage related.

Thank you thank you thank you.

DiskInventoryX is free and will show you exactly which directories are storing the most amount of data. Make sure to give it the permissions it needs, otherwise it won't show everything.
