Hey,
I have a 60GB classic. It's now 2 years old. I working in a very dusty environment (drywall taping). Over the last few months of using iPod at work, the Click Wheel has progressively become more dysfunctional. Now nothing on it except the button in the centre of the Click Wheel works.
I'm up-to-date on software updates and my warranty is well over.
Any recommendations on how I can somehow get the Click Wheel working? Any internal cleaning recommendations?
If I do get it working or end up going out and buying a new iPod, any recommendations on a cover that would keep all dust out?
Thanks!

Well try scrubbing the click wheel with rubbing alcohol first. If that doesn't work, then it looks like you need a new click wheel which is a cheap replacement.

The click wheel on my 80GB Classic doesn't respond immediately sometimes, however, after selecting an item, then pressing "Menu" will usually get the click wheel to scroll again.

Do you have any warranty left?
