New iPhone X owner here. Long story short, I’ve had my phone for less than 30 days and I’ve noticed a clicking noise from time to time that occurs when the haptic engine is engaged. It could be from simple feedback gestures or even a text message.

I took my X to the Genius Bar yesterday, they replaced my haptic engine and the speaker (not sure why the later), but the clicking is still present.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue within version 11.3 (through my research I’ve discovered that others experienced this prior to one of the 11.2 updates). Any thoughts would be helpful, I don’t want to waste another hour(s) of life at the Apple Store if this is just an issue inherent to the X.

It’s a software bug. It happens on the 7 aswell.
There was something about it in relation to iPhone X and iOS versions prior to 11.2.5 or so, but I'm not really certain there's some sort of a currently existing more general/widespread "bug" in relation to something like this when it comes to other devices, and in particular on iOS 11.3.
