yeh I used to get the same thing aswell, its really faint but it's there. I bought mine about 5 weeks ago (latest rev).
I also had this thing where the trackpad would ever so slightly droop (i mean slightly) in the middle aswell and it was bothering me. I took the battery out and noticed that where the droop was is this cut out that has some sort of rubber flap covering something. If you have one finger with a bit of pressure on the trackpad and one on the inside you can feel the resistance.
So i measured the size of the cut out and made up a little peice of folded paper to the same dimensions(not very thick maybe 1mm tops), placed it on top and put the battery back on (being careful the peice of paper didn't move elsewhere).
Walla!! The droopeyness has gone and so has the faint trackpad button click you described. I doubt this would cause other complications and void your warranty because you can just pull the paper out if you need to take it back to apple. hope this helps
what kind of mouse or trackpad button doesn't make that sound, faint or not?...it makes this cheap-sounding clicky noise.
I think you're supposed to get used to it and tune it out. You mus be smokin sometin to have jus noticed, deh buttons have always 'clicked'...
*note to self: design a silent button for trackpads and make $$millions$$
Hey guys, we're not talking about the 'regular' click sound that the trackpad button makes, they ALL make a sound!!
We're talking about this really really faint click noise when you just touch the trackpad button, not when you actually select something with the trackpad button. If you had the noise you would understand but obviuosly you don't..
And Squeeks, yeah I just took out the battery, you'll notice the rubber cover thing I was talking about straight away. As long as you've got a macbook, I don't speak for the pros
