Clients email; logo showing in mac recipents, not PC

Have anyone come across this? Client has a logo in there email signature. When he sends to PCs it doesn't show.

Is it that he hasn't set up "send windows friendly attachments" or could it be something else? What is the best practice for this?

First thing that comes to mind is file format... What format is the logo? PC will have problems with several that Macs wont, for example, CMYK rather than RGB, file formats eps and pdf...

Need more info :)

I'm going to check with him now, but he's on a mac so I'm 90% sure he's using Mail app.

(sorry for the pic – sent to much time checking for the Macbook updates today :/)

That's not the question because the client is not the group that can't see the image. It is the client's customers who can't see the image on their Windows computers. My guess is that they are using Outlook Express.

A simple thing would be to ensure that the client has Edit/Attachments>Always Send Windows Friendly Attachments selected within Mail.
 
You really should try to educate the client. This is the most annoying thing that comes across my email. Oooh this email has an attachment... lets see what it ... oh it's their stupid logo jpeg again! It's difficult to get a consistence end-user experience on this one. Not even sure if it's possible.

Although I did give this a try a while back before I realized it was a little silly. Might be worth a read:

The way I do it

I host my email images on a web server and my HTML/Inline-CSS that I use to form my signature just references the http:// URL of the image. It could be that your friend is trying to include a reference to a local image which the email recipient won't have access to because his machine isn't acting as a server.

Just my 2 cents...
 
Every time you send an email with an image signature God kills a kitten... Please think of the kitten :)
 
Thanks for all the replies. I'd never recommend an image in signature, but it's what he wanted. After paying for a logo he wants to put it everywhere. The option of linking to a hosted image is probably the best one.
