This is more of a curiosity than a question about the app.

Something I noticed on iOS 12, was ‘Clips’.

When I searched to see what it was, it’s been around years.

I just wondered why an app that was supposed to be around that long, was never on iOS 11 on my old 5S, (that one due to age of phone capabilities no doubt) but not on the 8 until I just updated to iOS 12 this week?

Wasn’t it supposed to be there at least on the iPhone 8 when it was on the last iOS 11? Am I alone here that it’s the first sighting of it. Or is it a UK thing and has only been on US versions?

Clips has been around for a while now. It didn't originally come with iOS, and was available through an app store download instead.
It's been around in the UK+US for a few years, you just probably didn't notice it on the app store.
Maybe Apple have now decided to include it with iOS 12?

Thank you! Yes. That must be why. They’ve must’ve only just included it with 12. That explains it. Thanks
